maestro-hwv-2.4.6-pre2.diff - Jun 09 2001

this patch applies from v2.4.3 up to v2.4.6-pre2 (at least).
it adds support for the hardware volume control pins of the maestro chip.
it has been tested on a DELL Inspiron 5000e (which is a Compal
N38W<something>). tuxtops.com sold these models too, some months ago.
